Artist Bio

From an early age, Kris Banas displayed a natural love for creativity—spending hours coloring, drawing, painting, and letting her imagination run free. A childhood Christmas gift of a SPIRO-GRAPH quickly became an obsession, sparking her fascination with patterns, design, and artistic exploration.

As an adult, Kris launched her craft business, Kristi’s Kreations, creating cross-stitch, ceramics, and other handmade crafts for consignment shops in Northwest Indiana, where she was born and raised. After a ten-year career in accounting and becoming a mother, she discovered a new outlet for her creativity through a career in cosmetics and skincare. For over 20 years, Kris used her keen eye for color and artistry to bring joy to others through makeovers and color matching.

In 2019, after retiring from the workplace, Kris embraced her true passion for art. She discovered the expressive possibilities of fluid art and has since devoted herself to developing, refining, and continually evolving her techniques. For Kris, creativity never truly retires—it simply transforms. Her work reflects a lifelong dedication to color, movement, and the joy of artistic discovery.
