Artist Bio

Linda Smith Latimer is a self-taught visual artist, photographer, and content creator originally based in Saratoga Springs, Utah and more recently transitioned to Rogersville Tennessee, where she creates vibrant, emotive works under the banner “Firefly Studio,” previously known as “Paintings from the Heart.”

Mentored by acclaimed artist, Marian Dunn (Salt Lake City, Utah) for over 8 years and enriched by workshops with national talents, Linda also explores acrylics and oils while sharing her passion through YouTube tutorials at Firefly Studio Watercolors, teaching workshops, and teaching in her on sight studio.

Linda specializes in portraits of children, adults, and animals, floral designs, landscapes, and loves experimenting with watercolor pouring, watercolor batik, and watercolor and ink, while capturing the beauty of everyday subjects with dynamic color and light.
